About

Aerospace Camp brings STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and aerospace education to young people.

Over four days and three nights, students attending Aerospace Camp experience activities that are immersive, interactive, fun and have an underlying emphasis on wellbeing and the development of employability skills including team building, creativity and problem solving.

The program includes:

  • Astronomy and the Australian night sky

  • Australia’s contributions to space exploration

  • Artemis Missions to the Moon and Mars

  • Designing and building galactic habitats

  • Designing, building and launching a variety of Rockets,

  • Constructing, driving and exploring a range of Rovers

  • Problem solving challenges utilising Robotics

  • Living and working sustainably on the Moon and Mars

  • History of Space travel and exploration

Each Aerospace Camp is limited to just 32 students aged 11–15, ensuring a highly personalised and immersive experience.

Delivered over four dynamic days, Aerospace Camp is a curriculum aligned program that blends expert-led lessons with practical activities. Students dive into real world scenarios, guided by specialists from across the space and aerospace sectors. Every day is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and ignite a passion for STEM.

Throughout the program, participants take part in problem solving challenges, team building missions, design thinking tasks, and creative and critical reasoning activities. These experiences broaden their understanding of the vast opportunities within STEM.

Students also gain rare access to cutting edge technologies including space simulators, drones, and virtual reality tools (equipment they would not normally encounter in a school environment).

Collaboration is at the heart of Aerospace Camp. Students are encouraged to contribute ideas freely during planning, design, and build phases, helping them develop communication and leadership skills. They meet new people, form new friendships, and build networks with peers who share their enthusiasm for STEM.

Presentations from STEM professionals, particularly those working in space and aerospace, offer valuable insights into real career pathways. These sessions inspire students to pursue STEM subjects at school and consider future careers in these rapidly growing industries.
